We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our financial management teams in DoD’s civilian careers, where you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of financial activities –including budgeting, accounting, auditing, financial analysis, data management and analytics, risk mitigation, and more. At the DoD, financial readiness enables mission readiness.

Job Title: Financial and Accounting Specialists (Multiple Roles)
Work Location: On-site or Hybrid

Positions will be filled at grade levels ranging from GS-5 through GS-11

The following positions are available; please select the one that best aligns with your skills and interests:

  • 0501: Financial Administrator
  • 0510: Accountant
  • 0511: Auditor
  • 0525: Civilian Pay Specialist
  • 0544: Payroll Specialist
  • 0560: Budget Analyst

Position Duties/Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Conduct audits to improve processes and ensure compliance.
  • Process payroll transactions and address discrepancies.
  • Analyze spending trends and develop strategic financial plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in financial tools, federal standards, and processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain government security clearance.

 

💵 Salary: Determined by the General Schedule (GS) pay scale, based on grade level and locality.
